Environment Art for Virtual Production

As an Unreal Environment artist at Hyperbowl, I worked as part of a larger interdisciplinary team on more than 25 virtual production projects. My role focused on Unreal Engine environment art, including building real-time worlds, lighting, optimization, and supporting on-set virtual production workflows. Below is a selection of media showcasing projects I contributed to as part of the team.

Virtual Production-SYOSS

For this Syoss hair color advertisement, in collaboration with two other Unreal artists, we were involved in designing three unique worlds to reflect the beauty and essence of colors. for this advertisement. The silver world, characterized by its dark, mystical, minimalist, and vibrant aesthetic, was meticulously crafted to embody the beauty and essence of tinted atmospheres. This visually striking environment played a central role in the Syoss hair product film, brought to life in the innovative virtual production studio, Hyperbowl. As a member of a team of three Unreal artists, each with the task of creating one of the three unique worlds to reflect the beauty and the essence of color for this SYOSS hair product advertisement. The silver/dark world, my design task, was characterized by its dark, mystical, minimalist, and vibrant aesthetics. The environment was a pulsing cave, representing a dynamic desire infused with a deeper mysterious self. This world became a central element of the Syoss advertisement film, brought to life in the virtual production studio, Hyperbowl.

Thomann: A bridge that takes the violinist into a dark and gloomy large city with tall skyscrapers. She stops at a perfect spot where she starts playing, while she is watched by some viewers. The atmosphere starts to change, and she elevates high above the clouds.
The challenge was assembling the scene in a way that makes sense from different perspectives and allows the atmosphere to reveal itself.

For this Lidl ad, the task was designing the couple’s therapy room:

as the award winning Audio-Visual Music production, Alice Sarah Ott, the amazing german piano artist, filmed her mesmerizing performances of 5 classical pieces in Hyperbowl virtual film studio. This visual-audial journey became an essential part of her latest album release in Nov 2024.
Two of these 5 worlds were designed by me. First one is the “frozen world” where she beautifully performs the Norcturne No.9 in E Minor , taking us on a dream of frozen memories and reflection of feelings.
