Vegas Ride
This game map was inspired by Las Vegas and designed for a virtual car drive.
This fictional town was built with Unreal engine to be used as a real-time virtual experience for an exciting ride inside a real concept car. This exhibition piece included screens around the car where this environment was interactively playing according to the driver’s interaction through the steering wheel.
The city was made of iconic landmarks inspired by the real Las Vegas but placed around a fictional road with a very engaging dramaturgy for the visitor’s journey.
My role as an unreal artist in an XR-Experience studio, was first defining the dramaturgy and then blocking out the ride and the islands of iconic assets around the road. The role then unfolded into creating and placing assets, adding more complex shaders and night-life escence to the scene. Only then the project moved on to a larger team of 3D artists, where we started adding more and more details until reaching a higher level of fidelity.
